Sfaturi ecologice: Traieste, Protejeaza, Respira, Simte, Respecta, Recicleaza, Pastreaza -> Natura

Economiseste energie in propria casa

Cumpara mancare proaspata in locul celei congelate.

Curatarea unui filtru murdar opreste eliminarea in atmosfera a 158 kg dioxid de carbon, pe an.

Incearca sa integrezi formele alternative de energie in caminul tau.

Oh Fi-Fi, you're so heavy

[..]Fi-Fi can actually sense her own weight, which can be 10,000 pounds (or more) different than our load sheet. Is that weight accurate? Depends on which expert you talk to... Our performance engineers seem to think theirs is closer to the mark, and I agree. Still, it is interesting to look deep into Fi-Fi's mind and see what her little electric brain cells are thinking. She is an amazing flying machine [..]

Wallpaper on PPC with WM5

I had a problem setting an image as wallpaper on today's screen, and found the rezolution. The image is appearing with low quality on the desktop of PPC. This is due to a transparency which is set automatically by explorer.

What to do: Search for pimg.exe in the \WINDOWS folder of the PPC. This is the default image viewer for windows. Run pimg.exe and click and hold on the image you want to set as wallpaper. Then select , "set as today background..", and select 0% opacity.

That's it! Hope it helps somebody.

I left my heart up there

Courage is the price that life extracts for granting peace.
The soul that knows it not, knows no release from little things.
Knows not the livid loneliness of fear,
Nor mountain heights, where bitter joy can hear
The sound of wings.

The sky - home sweet home

When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return. -Leonardo da Vinci

The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be? It is the same the angels breathe. -Mark Twain

We who fly do so for the love of flying. We are alive in the air with this miracle that lies in our hands and beneath our feet. -Cecil Day Lewis

Man must rise above the Earth-to the top of the atmosphere and beyond-for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives. -Socrates

Rare is a sense of accomplishment felt greater than after your first solo flight. The thrill and excitement is indescribable to those who have not taken the controls into their own hands.

To most people, the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home.
